As the original producer of MethylSulfonylMethane for human consumption, Rich's MSM Supplements are still unequaled in quality and purity. Most MSM on the market is produced in China through precipitation, which results in an inferior quality MSM. Rich's MSM is produced in the United States through distillation, which produces a higher quality of MethylSulfonylMethane. Most other brands contain binders and fillers, as indicated by the fact that they will float when put in a liquid. 100% pure MSM, like Rich's MSM, will sink when put in juice or water. You will know the Rich's difference when you try it.
MSM (or Methyl Sulfonyl Methane) is a natural form of organic sulfur, the third most important mineral in the body. It was discovered by Dr. Stanley Jacob of the Oregon Health Sciences University to be the health-giving part of DMSO (which had some negative nuisance-type side effects). MSM is found in all living organisms and helps us utilize our vitamins and amino acids. MSM provides the flexible bonds between proteins that are so necessary. When tissues are replaced, they need to be strong, yet flexible. It is the hardening or sclerosis of our organs, glands and blood vessels that we so often associate with aging. MSM detoxifies the body and increases blood circulation. Deficiency symptoms of MSM include: Allergies, Arteriosclerosis, Arthritis (or any “-itis” in the body), Candidiasis, Constipation, Inflammatory responses, Ulcers and so many more. This is an all natural, vegetarian product derived from Fir or Pine trees.*
Minimum recommended dose: 500 mg per 30 lb. of body weight twice per day, morning and evening. In other words, if you weigh 180 lb, take 180 lb / 30 lb x 500 mg = 3000 mg twice per day. ( There is 4,000 mg of MSM in a teaspoon.) In order for the MSM to be effective, half the amount of Vitamin C needs to be taken together with it.
Ingredients: 99.99% pure MSM (MethylSulfonylMethane), 0.01% moisture (water).
