Contains: Kava extract (200 mg extract per capsule), and the excipients acacia tree gum, maltodextrin, rice flour, magnesium stearate, silica, cellulose & water (no gelatin).
Description: Pharma Kava is prepared from the rhizome & roots of Piper methysticum plants which are grown chemical free in the South Pacific islands of Vanuatu.
We use only pharmaceutical-grade alcohol to extract our Kava (never industrial solvents). All alcohol is fully removed from the finished extract.
Caution: The FDA says a potential risk of rare, but severe, liver injury may be linked to kava. Consult a doctor before taking kava if you are on medication, pregnant, nursing, often drink alcohol, or have or have had liver problems. Stop use and see a doctor if liver symptoms occur (unusual fatigue, abdominal pain, appetite loss, dark urine, pale stools, yellow eyes or skin). Excessive use may briefly impair ability to drive, or operate machinery. Do not take with alcoholic beverages.
